Respectful question for the resident Muslims on the board...?

Good day to you all, and thank you for responding to my question...

I was just reading this silly little story about a guy in Florida who was arrested for walking his dog in the nude. Apparently, when asked what he was doing, he told the police that "Allah told me to watch a Bruce Willis movie and walk the dog”.

Now, I knew right from the start that this man wasnt Islamic, because he was walking a dog. But that got me to thinking - why is it that Muslims do not like dogs? Why are dogs offensive to Muslims? (There was another story last week about some terror suspects that were really upset because they had been temporarily housed in corrals that once housed dogs...)

A friend told me that she thought it was because "dog" is the opposite of "god", so perhaps you feel that dogs are evil. But, I pointed out that you refer to God as Allah, not God, so that cant be it, can it?

Can anyone explain why dogs are viewed negatively in your culture?

But, dogs mouths contain a total of 8 different bacterias. The human mouth contains 23 different bacterias. The human mouth is far "dirtier" than a dogs mouth! In fact, a dog licking your wound actually increases the healing time...

So I don't doubt that Allah would tell someone to walk a dog nude , it's probably one of those Allah tests that Naseem talks about. The Bruce Willis movie about sums it up. I have it on good authority that Allah is a big fan of Bruce .
